| When
I met Tom three years ago, he had just graduated from university and he didn't
know what he wanted to do. He got his degree in economics
but he didn't want to work for a big company. Now
Tom has his own business. He runs a small Italian
restaurant in my neighborhood, which makes the best Italian bread in town. His
restaurant is always crowded, especially on big holidays. Last
Christmas, I took my wife and her mother to Tom's restaurant. We
were shocked when we saw a line of sixteen people waiting outside the restaurant
door. We were thinking about going to eat somewhere
else. Just then, we saw Tom inside the restaurant
and he came outside. We talked for a few minutes,
and he asked us if we wanted to use the private room on the third floor so we
wouldn't have to wait in line. |
