Smith was driving along a busy highway in Columbus, Ohio. He saw an armored security
truck ahead of him. Suddenly, the back doors of the
truck opened and a blue plastic bag fell out. Mr Smith's
car hit the bag; it ripped open and money came out. Soon,
a lot of drivers braked, stopped in the middle of the highway, jumped out of their
cars and started to pick up the money. Mr Smith got
out of his car, picked up a bag, put it in his car, and drove away. When
he got home, he counted the money; there was $57,000. He
thought for a while, then he took the money to the nearest police station and
handed them the money. A lot of other drivers did
the same thing, but $1,000,000 were still missing. The
armored truck company offered a reward: "We will give you 10% of what you
return," they said, and more money was returned. However,
one man who had taken some money telephoned a Columbus newspaper. |
